How to change your thinking
Did you know that it’s possible to change a habit – any habit – simply by changing your thinking? As the saying goes: “You are what you think you are.”
When we think, we create. We create ourselves, and the situations around us. And just as we can think ourselves into the habits we form in our lives, we can just as easily think our way out of them.
It sounds too good to be true, but for many, the simple act of changing their thinking seems like an impossible task.
And this is where hypnotherapy and counselling can really help.
For example, I help my clients challenge their perceptions of themselves and escape the horrible habits that are keeping them down. I create a roadmap for success, by working with my clients’ conscious and subconscious minds to recognise that they have the power to change their lives – no matter how many times they have tried and failed before.
Here are four simple steps for achieving success in your life:
(1) Evaluate yourself and your life, and decide what’s not working for you. Think about which habits are holding you back from being the person you really want to be.
(2) Make a decision to change. This is very important.
(3) Be that person. Don’t overthink it, and don’t allow yourself to become complacent. Walk the talk.
(4) Success is already yours! You are that person. And if you continue this correct thinking, your old habits will just be a bad memory.
This process is like a rebirth. And it works for everything. Nothing is too difficult. But in order for it to work, you MUST accept that you are responsible for changing your thinking and therefore your habits. There is nothing holding you back but you.
I can help you understand this process in more depth, and guide you in applying it in your own life to achieve success in ways you never thought possible.
Smoking is not an addiction; it’s a habit you can break. Many, many psychologists will tell you that. Changing your thinking is all that is required, and I can help you do it in a single session.
Weightloss is easy if you understand how to eat right, and treat food as nourishment for your body – the way it is meant to be. Food is not an addiction, you have just formed bad habits around the way you consume food. And together, we can change it.
Gambling is a destructive habit that can leave you broke and depressed. The urge to gambling is the result of a habit you have formed by allowing yourself to continue gambling. All it takes to never gamble again is a mindset adjustment and a commitment to changing your life.
Drinking is usually a habit that forms over many years of believing that you “just need one or two to relax of an evening” – causing you to fall into a comfort zone that only becomes uncomfortable when you realise how it’s affecting your health, finances and relationships.
I could go on and on, discussing all forms of horrible habits that systematically destroy millions of lives every year.
But the point is, it doesn’t need to destroy yours. If it’s not working for you, and it’s not in accord with who you want to be, then it needs to go.
Let me help you say goodbye to old habits. You only need a simple adjustment of thinking, and I can help you get there.
